How to restore a Dell inspiron 1545 laptop to its factory sitting?
Hi All,
I have a Dell inspiron 1545 laptop , i want to restore it to its factory sitting but wont work, here how i do it.
1-press and hold F8 it takes me to Vista Advanced Boot Options Window.
2-Select the Repair Your Computer Option but instead of it take me to System Recovery Options ,it takes me to the windows password page where u get access to the windows .
i need help on this please post me ur suggestions…

Start the computer.
As the computer starts, press the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.
Press the (Down Arrow) to select Repair Your Computer on the Advanced Boot Options menu, and then press Enter.
Specify the language settings that you want, and then click Next.
Log in as a user who has administrative credentials, and then click OK.
Click Dell Factory Image Restore.
In the Dell Factory Image Restore window, click Next.
Click to select the check box for Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition.
Click Next. The computer is restored to the default factory configuration.
When the restore operation is completed, click Finish to restart the computer.

I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 start up problems?
I have a Dell Inspiron 8000, and it wont load up , it always goes to the blank black screen saying its initializing, but thats as far as it gets.
And I need it to work because I have old pictures and files I need to get from there.
** It hasn’t done this before until probbaly about February or March of this year. It was working fine before then.
Make sure you don’t have a disk in the drive. I know I know, but I see it all the time…
Then remove peripherals one at a time and restart. I’ve had USB components cause that. After that you’ll have to open the case and try removing each mem stick, one, then replace then the other, then replace… and so on and so forth. Check the easy stuff first before looking at just the hard drive. You can also try rolling it back to last known good configuration. Usually from F8 during the Dell bootup… just keep hitting it.
