Mini-ITX users, Where do you buy your hardware?

I am contemplating a HTPC built around a VIA EPIA EN15000G mainboard, what is the best online retailer for the mini itx boards, PCI risers, slim line drives etc that i will need?

You may check out VIA website. Fill-out their forms and send your query.

Who had received the software CD COMCORDE. This CD includes software that can synchronize with the computer file and see. I usually see most of your M2TS files. It also includes basic drivers of COMCORDE. I mean, you can use Cyberlink PowerDVD 9, which supports playback M2TS files. PowerDVD is the software that comes with the CD-ROM drives many DVD-ROM, Blu-ray. It also supports multiple formats Denfination high. Plays most of Blu-ray and HD DVD. The latest version of PowerDVD 9 is compatible with Windows Media Center.

A few weeks ago and Part I of my guide on how to configure your Windows HTPC bitstream 7. Part I focused on using Media Player Classic, so the second part will focus on creating bitstream using WMP12/W7MC. It becomes a bit complicated so you'll see why after reading this guide is just my recommendation to use MPC-HC, if possible. Much of the problem at hand revolves around Windows Media Foundation, which is not compatible with the VC-1, or DTS HD Audio. An example would be if you have a film in VC-1 TrueHD track and try to play m2ts WMC in WMP12 will not see or hear video or audio file. So, unfortunately, that means we have to cut a little to get "proper" reading. Much of this guide is based on excellent member AVSForum renethx message can be found here.

I decided to take a look at two different approaches. The first approach is the craft that involves the installation of all codecs / filters (This is actually the approach we have followed successfully for over 4 months). The second approach is to use Shark007 codec pack (not packets usually recommended codecs, but the Sharks is one I recommend). As you can see clearly in the following warning, once you start to fiddle around with the codecs / filters there is a chance that you get something with your system, so proceed with caution. For every person who gets what to work I hear about someone who can not, which is far from a perfect solution and I can not guarantee that it works as the ability bitstream with ffdshow is still relatively new. In fact, I noticed some inconsistencies with the results of my HTPC, in recent times where a file other bitstream play perfectly with the same information that will not play. From now on I prefer to stick only with MPC HC. I a plan to build another HTPC (Mini-ITX) in the coming weeks I will use for further testing.

Note – You can follow this guide, even if you do not want or can not bitstream, especially since they allow you to play m2ts WMP12/W7MC VC-1 (and is how I could do with my HTPC before mounting the GPU 5670).

WARNING – I mentioned once, but I can not stress enough is strongly recommended that you have a backup / restore point or image of the O / S that you can return to the instance that something goes no. In addition, following the steps described here require you to disable the Media Foundation, which can cause side effects and parameters, eventually, her love life. The first set my PC I can do a backup immediately with Windows Home Server (I call backup "W7 Clean ") and blocking the backup will not be erased. I used Windows Home Server a few times to restore this backup and it worked like a charm.

Will make a good HTPC?

I am a newbie wanting to build a HTPC. I wonder if it all goes together. What I will use is: Foxconn RM233 + DSI-250P 250W Mini-ITX Tower (where) E350IA MSI-E45 E-350 AMD Fusion USB3 HDMI Mini-ITX 18W (motherboard) — Super Talent 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1333 MHz PC3 10600 BW-office 12B1LT RAM Asus Blu-ray DVD burner CD burner (there something similar but cheaper?) — Western Digital 1TB Internal 3.5 "SATA II HDD Rosewill 7200 RCR-IC001 —- 40-in-1 USB 2.0 3.5 "Internal Card Reader w / USB port (other?) I wonder this: Is it enough power (250W) If it is not enough power that kind of power? If there is a good example of what would be recommended? If there is a way to make a good HTPC under $ 600 I would be grateful if I said. Any thoughts? I think using the operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate

I think a diet 250W can run, but I would have the power to a 300W power over me to get around and what not to feed more than your property. Here is a which is at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817338042 I think make a nice little HTPC and should work well.

My HTPC – M-ITX rig and possible changes – Xonar DX – Originae M10
